jetzt warte ich schon 2 wochen auf meinen doge (und den cayin) und erhalte nun folgendes mail:

"Please accept our apology for the delayed reply as I was out of town yesterday. There was some serious problem with the Doge machines since there were other dealers selling above the line. So they got Lua so mad that the factory stopped all distributions of Doge CD players. Well, since we've already got your payment, we will be able to get you one but it'll be delayed for another few days. Please bear with us at this moment and we'll let you know immediately when we have got the CD player on hand."

es ist zum verzweifeln! was haltet ihr davon?



ist sonst noch jemand da, der auf sein gerät warten muss?

Hello souldriver,
when we ordered by December - we were about 53 in that Big order - some of us have waited for 3 months to get their Cayin CDT-17A. So, don't worry, you will get it!

hopefully your are right because i talked just now to S. from AND and he explained me that for the futur it will quit difficult to get some other units. Lua is making so much pressure to stop the orders out of the line that doge had to stop all distribution for the 6201. As i already payd my unit S. promised me that i will get one but in the same time he told me that h will got just 1 unit in the next few days...but there 2 customers they ordered the doge. that means that one of us have to look for another possibility. i will get some other news on monday. hopefully it works!

Hi and good morning at all,
what I have to read here about the availability of the Doge, brings me not in an optimistic mood.
It is sad to hear that souldriver has that kind of problems. IMHO in the worst case you will get a different machine. So don't worry about your money......... Of course that is not good in any way, but at least your money is not lost.

Especially as I am now about to order my Doge 6201 this is of great concern to me. I will be contacting my prospective dealers immediately in order to make sure that I get one of those machines. I hope that the influence LUA can take on the chinese market is not that big that we can get no more 6201.

No Teiki, Parka told me today that since he received the new tubes, he try the CDP during 25 hours. We will thus have its conclusions in a few days with a new test DROPLET XLR vs LUA with the new tubes (en gros cela fait 25 heures qu'il les fait tourner).

Droplet (consonance 5.0 CDP on french forum if I am right?!) is not liked... I don't know why since audiophile critics in france like it very much (5 stars/recommanded in "Nouvelle Revue Du Son"). But you, Stentor, you are very pleased by this Lua/Doge 6201 CDP, much more than Cayin CDT-17A if I am not wrong, aren't you?

Souldriver, unfortunately it seems to be true what your seller has written. As I also have some experience with your seller. I was under the impression that the mail he sent to you was just a kind of delay justification. BTW, your dealer told me that he can probably get two more units, which are allready sold........
So I immediately contacted some other dealers, which more or less all gave the same statement. Obviously there are just two dealers left who are in the lucky position to get more of the machines. It is selfexplaning that the price for the Doge is increasing day by day.

So my advice to all prospectives is order as fast as you can

Both units (Cayin and Doge) will be send today by DHL Express! I guess that i will get them till wednesday. Very cool!!!!! My Dealer confirmed again, that it will be more and more difficult to get other doge's in the future.

Now i need to pray for a fast and carefull shipment!!!!!

My new tubes have been running for 60-75 hors and there is an
signigficant improvement in especially the midrange compared
to the chinesse tubes. I can now play loud without difficult voices become screaming like before.

The Droplet is taken over since a week by a friend so I haven’t been able to make any direct comparison to the Lua.
Actually my JM lab 907 BE are very good speakers but still far from big speakers from Infinity with ribbons and not only in terms of bass performance. So to really know how good the “new” LUA is, I will hook it up to my friends Infifnity Reference standard 4.5 in some weeks. But its anyway clear that this is an outstanding cd player that is playing a lot better with the tubes that Teiki (thanks a lot for your advice , this is why forums can be so good) recommended.

So folks, order one right away before it’s too late. Deals like this are very rare.

I am very glad for your improvement! So, you've got: 4 x JJ/Tesla ECC803S and 2 x Mullard CV4024 (Cryo?) ?

PS: I'm using Mullard 6201(Millitary 12AT7WA) in my Jolida JD-100H in stead of 12AX7, they are amazing! RCA 5751 are very very good as well, less detailed but excellent! I changed also my Xindak PC-02 Power Cable for an hand-made friend "Siezien" from Belgium: what an amazing change!!!! unbelievable even on blind test!
To go further - but it is more expensive! -, I'm wondering if it would not be better to change 4 x 12ax7 and 2 x 12AT7 of your Lua Appassionnato (Doge 6201 I think), by black plates - "Command" double/triple Mica - RCA 5751/Gold Brand Sylvania 5751 triple mica Match Quad and a Matched Pair of black plates RCA 5965/6211/6201....

My reasons of choosing a smaller mu (µ/gain) in the same category of tubes (nearly same specifications):
- a higher Transconductance (S)
- then a smaller Ri = intern Resistance ( Ri = µ/S Kohm)
and sound more fluid, more musical in theory.

Tubes/Valves/roehren categories:
- 12AX7:
5751 have a mu=70 in stead of mu=100 for 12AX7/ECC83
- 12AT7:
5965 have a mu=47 in stead of mu=60 for 12AT7/ECC81/6201
6211 have a mu=27 in stead of mu=60 for 12AT7/ECC81/6201

Mit Yahoo im speziellen nicht, aber wo liegt der Unterschied zu eBay?

Der erste Verkäufer sieht nach Privatperson aus, der Zweite dürfte ein Händler sein. Das Risiko ist das gleiche. Die Zahlung würde ich über
eine etwas gesicherte Abwicklung durchführen (PayPal ..?). 1000,- EURO einfach so wegschicken ist doch immer ein Risiko.
